About the Role:

In this role, you will work as a data scientist. The role is responsible for researching, designing, and implementing state-of-the-art AI models that can complement and advance our existing solutions. These AI models include but are not limited to face biometrics aspects such as presentation attack detection (PAD), injection attack detection (including deepfake detection), face morphing & image manipulation detection. As a part of the R&D team at Mobai, you will work alongside computer vision experts and system developers to build world-class products to prevent fraud & ID thefts that threaten our society.

What you will do:

• Research and design the state-of-the-art face PAD, injection attack detection, and image manipulation models;

• Train, refine, and evaluate the algorithms & models;

• Implement and integrate the algorithms & models to the backend by collaborating with the tech team and developers;

• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in face biometrics, liveness detection/PAD/injection attack detection technologies both from the industrial side and the academic side;

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI models;

• Document the progress along the way and maintain the source code using our version control system.

We expect you to have:

• Minimum master’s degree in CS, EE, or equivalent. We are looking for both senior and junior candidates. For fresh graduates, good academic grades (i.e. average grade of B or better) are preferred. 

• Industry or academic experience developing and optimizing deep learning algorithms in computer vision;

• Deep understanding of convolutional neural networks and transformer architectures;

• Proficiency with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow;

• Strong programming skills with Python and C/C++ , and experience using image processing libraries;

• Familiar with software development tools and frameworks, and version control systems;

• Experience with CUDA, and Triton would be a plus;

• Research or industry experience in face biometrics would be a plus;

• Experience with ML Ops is a plus;

• An interest in building real-life products and being part of a start-up team that wants to improve the world
